All parents, especially mothers, want the very best for their children. Read Medela Harmony Breast Pump Review to see if it is best for you. As a parent, if you can give it to your kid, you will as long as you are able too.
Sometimes parents even go beyond what they can do and find ways to reach their goal, which is to give what they think is the best for their child.
Have you heard television commercials say “Breastmilk is best for babies up to two years”? You usually hear it after a milk formula commercial comes on.
Science has proven again and again how true the statement above is.
Breastmilk is the best for babies, especially for those younger that two years old, but the reality is many moms have to cut the breastmilk supply of their baby short due to a lot of reasons, one of the most common reasons being that they have to go to work.
How can we make this easier for lactating mothers/mothers-to-be?
Medela Harmony Breast Pump Review
Name: Harmony Breast Pump
Price: 19.24 US DOLLARS
My rating: 09 out of 10
In an effort to look for the best breast pump for you all, we stumbled up Medela Harmony Breast Pump and after reading and researching about it for a bit, we decided to give it a try.
What made it stand out from the other breast pumps? I mean they all fulfill their purpose (which is to pump milk out of a woman’s breast), but what was it about Medela’s that we liked?
First, it was easy and convenient. We understand that mothers of today already have a lot of things in their minds.
They have a mental list that they have to do that just seems to pile up on top of each other, so we decided to take some of your mental load and find the best breast pump. One thing you should know about Medela Breast Pump is that it is manual.
We understand that while you want to stay and give your baby the comfort and warmth he gets during breast feeding time, you can’t stay at home 24/7. You have to go to work, especially if you are a working mother.
However that doesn’t mean that your baby’s nutrition has to shift. You can still provide him with the same love and warmth through your breastmilk.
Breastmilk has been proven to be alive. Under the microscope, you will see thousands of moving enzymes in the breastmilk that helps strengthen the immune system of your kid.
Medela Harmony Breast Pumps comes with a soft touch, ergonomic swivel handle that gives you extra comfort. We know how weird it is for first time moms to pump milk out. We understand.
It’s all new, and new is usually uncomfortable but Medela makes sure that you will find the transition smooth. It is also quite easy to use.
There is a manual controlled vacuum that allows you to be able to adjust the suction for your most optimal comfort level and make sure that the flow of your breastmilk is efficient.
Once your milk starts to flow, you may switch to the longer side of the handle which will create a slower sucking cycle to express the majority of your milk.
Next, you can put your trust with Medela brands because they don’t just make products for the sake of making products.
They put their time and effort to research on how to make their technology the best in the market and to make sure that it is safe for mothers. The patented design of the breast pump allows mothers to pump more milk in less time.
Need to pump some milk out during your forty-five minute lunch break? No problem! How is that possible? Well you see the design of the breast pump resembles that of a baby’s natural nursing rhythm for an added comfort and efficiency.
Last Saturday, we decided to place an order online and called our lactating cousin, Gwen, for help.
We asked her to try the product to see if she will like it. Before we go to her experience, let me tell you what you will receive in the box first.
If you order Medela Harmony Breast Pump, you will get two (2) 5 oz or 150 ml breastmilk bottles with lids, a bottle stand, one (1) valve and two (2) membranes, instructions for use, and a breastfeeding information guide to help you.
Back to Gwen… She was a little skeptical about the product but I told her that there was no need for her to be.
The Medela brand has been around since 1961, and since then they have long been recognized as an expert advocate of breastfeeding through its innovative development of a researched based breast pumo technology.
It is supposedly the number one breast pump in America.
Gwen began by cleaning the breastpump under warm water and wiped it dry with a paper towel. Of course, we gave her the privacy that she needed and just decided to wait outside the bedroom and play with her seven month old baby.
Gwen never bothered to get a breast pump because she just stayed at home anyway, while her husband worked at a nearby IT company. There was no need for her to buy a breast pump, or so she thought.
After approximately ten minutes, Gwen came out. She stated that it was easy to use, but she had a little bit of trouble finding the right angle for her breasts. It didn’t make a sound at all, and it wasn’t hard to pump.
She admits it was a bit tiring for her hand to keep on doing the pumping action over and over again for minutes.
“But that could be because it’s my first time.” she added.
We decided to give her the breast pump as a gift. Although she was grateful and she genuinely seemed to like her experience with Medela, she wasn’t that sure if she should take it.
“I rarely go out of the house and if I do, I’m still carrying my baby with me.” She explained, “Although I do miss going out on my own to buy groceries or even just to buy coffee.”
With a little more convincing, she agreed to keep the breast pump.
Come Wednesday, we received a call from Gwen. She sounded happy and was telling us that she managed to go out for a whole eight hours for two days straight without her baby fussing and looking for her because she left him milk.
And her leaving the care of the baby to her husband seemed to have improved the relationship of the two.
Before Medela, Gwen’s baby wouldn’t want to be left with her husband which was why he was the one who goes to the grocery store, grabs them both coffee, and just have some quiet time out without a baby crying around.
Now Gwen experienced it and she stated that she felt recharged.
“I guess alone time is really important.” She concluded. “It helps an overwhelmed mom breathe.”
We were so happy to hear the positive effects of the Medela Breast Pump to Gwen’s life, and not only her’s but also with her husband.
Thanks to the given time that the baby is left with her husband, the two of them were able to bond and the baby was able to learn how to trust that the daddy is also capable of taking care of a baby.
It’s amazing the effect of a little thing can have on a family. You would think that it would be limited only to the mother, but the father and the baby greatly benefit as well.
In addition, the baby can now be left with a caretaker and the mom and dad can also work on their relationship and have a date night. We understand that the marriage has to adjust especially if there’s a newborn baby on the scene.
Medela Harmony Breast Pump is one of the most recommended by doctors when it comes to breast pumps.
The design of the pump is recommended for an occasional time away from the baby. You can also easily bring it around with you during traveling or an occasional back up to your electronic pump.
It is small.
It is portable.
And most of all, it is discreet.
Hey you! What did you think of the Medela Harmony Breast Pump? Would you consider getting one for yourself? Or for someone you know who is a new mother? It would be a really helpful much appreciated gift.
